PEN Commercial Trading Events are organised for the Worldwide Practice Enterprise Network and focus on increasing the volume of international trade between Practice Enterprises. These events include Intensive Trading Events and Practice Enterprise Trade Fairs. Trainees are able to test their sales pitch and negotiation skills and the commercial processes of order processing. They get to experience different languages, cultures and business etiquettes. The interactions teach them soft skills that can readily be put to use in the real world of business.

Intensive Trading Event

What is it?

A Practice Enterprise Trading Event has the primary goal of creating connections and transactions between Practice Enterprises. It differs from a Trade Fair in that there is no physical stand or booth. A Trading Event can take place in-person or online using videoconferencing, order taking and marketing. Trading Events organised by the Worldwide Practice Enterprise Network are held on an online platform that allows trainees to use videoconferencing tools of their choice and provides them with time slots in which sellers agree to be online and conduct sales conversations and negotiations and to carry out commercial orders. These events also give Practice Enterprises an opportunity to grow their international network and to create new contacts.

Who can participate?

All trainees of the Practice Enterprise Network are welcome to participate.

Practice Enterprise Trade Fair

What is it?

An exhibition of Practice Enterprises where trainees have the opportunity to showcase their enterprise and put their skills to the test, including trade fair preparation, sales pitches and commercial order processing, as well as to connect with other national and international trainees. Regional, national and international trade fairs are held each year around the world. Trade fairs can be held in-person or online. Trade Fairs give trainees an opportunity to interact in different languages, cultures and business etiquettes and to gain valuable soft skills and cross-cultural communication and negotiation experience
